Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. In this section I will discuss about online learning or E-learning. E-learning is an educational concept that utilizes information technology in the teaching process. Here are some definitions of E-learning from various sources:
1. Learning is arranged with the aim of using an electronic or computer system so that it can support the learning process (Michael, 2013: 27).
2. The distance learning process by combining the principles in the learning process with technology (Chandrawati, 2010).
3. The learning system used as a means for teaching and learning processes carried out without having to face to face directly between the teacher and students (Ardiansyah, 2013).

Characteristics of E-learning
According to Rosenberg (2001) the characteristics of E-learning are networked, which makes it able to quickly improve, store or bring back, distribute, and share learning and information

Benefits of E-learning.
E-learning has the following benefits:
1. Flexible. E-learning gives flexibility in choosing the time and place to access trips.
2. Self Study. E-learning provides an opportunity for learners to independently control the success of learning.
3. Cost Efficiency. E-learning provides cost efficiency for administrators, the efficiency of providing physical facilities and facilities for learning and cost efficiency for students is the cost of transportation and accommodation.


E-learning or online learning in the current era is indeed very necessary for students. As an example at the University of Bina Darma, there are learning facilities that utilize information technology today, e-learning. At Bina Darma University e-learning itself has become a learning activity, where the effectiveness and time efficiency has been proven.

E-learning Bina Darma also has features that are not less interesting than other online learning. Inside there are my course features or courses that are being taken, grades or features that display the scores achieved, messages or features where students can exchange messages with each other, notifications or features that can display notifications about the progress of assignments we have done, calendar is a calendar in which there is an assignment collection schedule, and every course that we have taken will also display the percentage of workmanship.

E-learning Bina Darma is also continually being updated from time to time to be better and more effective and to be superior to others.

The advantages of Bina Darma e-learning:
1. Easier to do.
2. Its features are no less interesting than other online learning.
3. The design used is simple and attractive.
4. Students can find out the value achieved in the assignment work.

The disadvantage of Bina Darma e-learning is that the server that is used often results in errors, is difficult to use when accessed via a mobile phone, cannot copy tasks if via a mobile phone.

What is ICT?

Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. In this article, I will discuss ICT or Information and Communication Technologies.

Technology can be interpreted as something that is used in information storage, and information dissemination. The term ICT emerged after the combination of computer technology (both hardware and software) with communication technology in the mid-20th century. While ICT itself can be interpreted as a technology that can be utilized in data processing, manipulating information, compiling, and even processing data or information.

The basic concepts used in ICT cover two aspects, namely Information Technology and Communication Technology. Information Technology includes all matters relating to use as a tool, manipulating data and managing information. 
The objectives of learning ICT are: 1. Develop our abilities in independent, innovative, creative and responsible learning. 2. Sharpen skills in information and communication technology.
Some understanding of ICT according to experts as follows: 1. According to Haag and Keen (1996)ICT is a set of tools that can help a job related to information and perform tasks related to information processing. 2. According to Williams and Sawyer (2003)ICT is a technology that can combine computers with high-speed communication lines that can carry data, voice, and video. 3. According to Martin (1999)ICT is not only limited to the hardware and software used to process and store information, and includes information technology that sends information. ICT can be utilized in everyday life. ICT has an important role in everyday human activities. Some of the benefits of ICT in everyday life are: 1. In the field of education, ICT can be used as a learning tool as well as an effective learning method for students and can increase student creativity. 2. In the field of business, ICT is used in transaction activities and in storing important files to be more secure. 3. In the military field, ICT is used as submarine navigation, and as a spacecraft controller whether using a driver or not. 4. In the field of industry and infrastructure, ICT can be used to design product designs in an industry or design a building. And can control the performance of machines in industries that use technology with maximum accuracy. 5. In the medical field, it is used to diagnose a disease that utilizes ICT. 6. In the entertainment field, it is used in the process of making an animation, advertising, film or soap opera and to make audiovisual even more interesting. 7. In the Government sector, it can be used to make government officials closer to the community, making it easier for the community to express their aspirations.
